Snipping Tool
There are three main methods to use the Snipping Tool:
- Windows + Shift + S: Opens the Snipping Tool overlay for selecting a portion of the screen.
- Print Screen (PrtScn): Captures the entire screen. You can paste the image into apps like Word or Paint.
- Snipping Tool app: Open the app manually from the Start Menu for more options, including delayed screenshots.
All these methods display a similar interface with options to:
- Select screenshot shape (rectangular, freeform, window, or full screen)
- Choose between screenshot and screen recording modes

Tip: To take a full-screen screenshot instantly, press Windows + Print Screen. The screenshot will be saved automatically to your Pictures > Screenshots folder.
You can also paste the screenshot directly into a document or email using Ctrl + V.
